Artist Statement
The way an individual's subliminal undergoes through the aesthetic experience is largely depended on their personal knowledge and life journey. Based on the observations by philosophers and theorists about the 'aesthetic', a term initially discussed by psychologist Bullough , an experience that might seem identical when lived by multiple people is in fact different for each person. In my practice, I use my point of view as a tool to capture the realities of my world and express them in a way where observers can visualize my own perception of the artwork and aesthetically evaluate it directly from my view. In my work I use a variety of materials and mediums for every project depending on what is my desired audience and the feeling I want to direct towards them. My medium of choice is also location and time specific, as it would not make sense for me to create a similar structure for unrelated spaces and context. So far for my light installations and 2D work I worked with different colored laser beams, LED lights and sound to tune the environment and manipulate the space's feeling in order to shift the viewer's feelings to the desired sentiment and correlation. With inspirations by techniques of many contemporary installation artists such as the Unites Visual Artists and Dan Flavin, I'm looking to combine the aesthetic and emotional influences of an art piece into a reformed piece.
